Volunteering
There are also several opportunities for groups and individuals to work directly with the children or assist the shelter staff.
Weekend Meals Program: Volunteers are needed to provide and prepare meals. This is a great opportunity for church and civic organizations. Volunteers can prepare breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Office Support: Volunteers are needed to assist with office duties such as clerical work.
Landscaping and building maintenance: Volunteers can plant trees and flowers, trim shrubbery and perform other landscaping duties.
Direction interaction with children: Volunteers can create their own special activities/talents to share with the residents.
Some examples are:
arts and crafts, storytelling, drama, music, dance, games, cooking projects, academic tutoring, sports
Obviously, there are many ways to assist A FRIEND'S HOUSE. New ideas are always welcome. If you have a special talent or idea, please contact us at 678-432-1630 or eepps@afriendshouse.org
